The study guide is now available for applicants preparing for the certification examination through NCBTMB directly at www.ncbtmb.com or by calling 1-888-802-6600.

The National Certification Examination Study Guide contains information regarding the content, structure, and vocabulary on the NCE.  It also contains many practice questions that are designed and formatted identically to those that appear on the actual examination forms of the NCE.  The study guide offers test taking strategies, suggestion for content review, the NCBTMB Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics, reference list, and content outline.

Prior to taking the NCE, massage therapy and bodywork professionals must complete a minimum of 500 hours of in-class education prior to taking the exam.  In addition to passing the NCE, practitioners must agree to uphold NCBTMB’s Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.  The NCE is currently recognized or utilized in statute or in rule in 25 states and the District of Columbia, and hundreds of cities and municipals across the country.
